South Korea is currently working on the new 5G connection, which is to surpass 4G in every possible way.
To the date, over $1500 million dollars only in testing, with the goal of finding faults to be fixed. Its release is estimated for one or two years, due to all the testing involved to provide the most efficient internet connectivity yet. It has been mentioned it will be 10 to 1000 times faster than 4G, allowing for downloads of up to 1000 MB/s! Huge companies like LG and Samsung have invested in the producing of this new technology, giving them access to the connection in their products.
Last year, Samsung estimated the release to be until 2020, but, thanks to the speedy progress of South Korea, the release has sped up dramatically, according to Extremetech.
