Riot Games is to host a tournament specifically for academics in the US with the prize being a scholarship to continue their studies.
According to official sources, the prize money will be $100 million dollars to the winner of the finals, which will be hosted in New York.
The LOL franchise looks to encouraging the youngsters by motivating them to study through their MMORPG, (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) which connects other players socially in an adventure, and with the hopes of proving videogames aren't as bad as they seem.
To enter the competition you need to be in any university and live in the US.
